The accommodation is offered in the peaceful environment of the Diamond Way Buddhist Centre in Camps Bay. Only ten minutes walk to the beach and the ideal location for that much needed getaway. The centre presents a homely atmosphere and is ideal for all holiday makers and travellers who are seeking peace, spiritual wellbeing and relaxation.

Important information regarding our centre is that it functions through unpaid, voluntary work on the basis of friendship, idealism and is under the spiritual guidance of Lama Ole Nydahl.

This accommodation project supports the centre’s daily operation thereby offering consistent access to Buddhism in Southern Africa. We appreciate your support.

  Check in anytime and departure (if available and prior arrangement)
• Shuttle service (airport & tours) from R190 (up to 2 persons and big groups also welcome – prices on request)
• Car Hire (Mercedes Benz 1976 – white) for as little as R150 per day. Long term price on request)
• At the centre our house lady, Ethel will look after your wellbeing during your stay.
• Breakfast can also be prepared by Ethel for a small fee (your own food provided)
• The centre receives a cleaning twice weekly.
• Your personal laundry can be washed, dried and folded by Ethel for a small fee of about R40.
• The centre is fully equipped and furnished.
• The centre has a garden, a terrace with outside table and chairs, a pool, sun lounges, a hammock and grilling facilities.
• There are no TV’s
• We do have a fireplace, a meditation area, a library and a communal CD/Radio Player
• We have internet wireless available (included within your accommodation)
• There is a house telephone and cards are available (world call at R50)
• There is a little sweet shop in the kitchen as well as a Dharma Shop.
• Security in South Africa is essential; therefore we do provide a house alarm key. Camps Bay is the safest suburb in the area.
• We do not have safes in the centre – we understand and highlight to all guests the results of stealing or doing harm to others:’’ The Law of Karma’’
• We have parking within the property as well as a garage and storage area
• Meditations are held every Wednesday from 6pm - 8pm and you are more than welcome to attend. Individual practice (meditations) evenings are normally Mondays from 6pm – 8pm
